My oral presentation

In the last oral presentation I spoke about my research project it's called the Catalan Toponomy. I think that this oral presentation was better than before because I was less nervous and I was read a little bit.

Before I thought that it would have been more difficult because the subject was difficult but really it was easier. Maybe I found it easier because the subject was my research project and so I knew what I was talking about. Moreover I learnt a lot about the Catalan toponomy.

I believe that it was better than before because it lasted longer. Maybe the people in my class seemed a little bit bored because if you don't understand the subject you could be bored. Although if you like this subject it's very interesting.

In conclusion, I'm satisfied with my oral presentation and I will try to improve for the next one.

In our oral presentation I think that we could have been better, but I was very nervous and the first oral presentation of the year is always the worse. 
I believe that I could have studied more, but I had a lot of exams and homework. 


In my opinion I really think that the structure and organization of the oral presentation was better, because we organized the way that everybody could understand better. Also, we didn't speak first five minutes one and then five minutes the other, because this way the presentation wasn't borning. We put a lot of photos in our power point so the oral presentation was entertaing. 
The pronunciation was the most difficult for me so I practiced a lot in my house, for example, some words difficult to pronounts like surgery, health, vegetable, whim... 
I think that I read a lot because I was very nervous. 


In conclusion I think that I must improve a lot in the other orals presentation and I should not get be nervous.

Valoration 


I believe that I did the last presentation pretty well although this presentation was the most difficult with respect to the other presentation  because I think that the subject was difficult. 
Mariana and me also we have greatly improved the organitation because while we were explaining we changed the project and I think that this way people could understand. 


In my opinion, I think that in the other presentation I didn't read a lot respect the other presentations because I was not so nervous, but however I read a bit. The other thing that we was realited because be more interesting we put example about famous people that they take drugs. 
The pronunciation I have improve a bit, when I was at home preparing the presentation I searched the pronunciation of words that I didn't know. I learned a lot of pronunciation of words like tobacco, alcohol, hallucinogens, illegal... 
I think the power-point it's well because there are a lot of images and there weren't any words, this way I believe that it is not so tired because the people even they listened can see the images of power-point. 


In conclusion, I agree that if we do the presentations, we learnt a lot for the future.

Introduction 


In this presentation we are going to talk about drugs, their consequences and how drugs affect in young people. We have chosen this subject because nowadays we can see this problem all around us. 
We also chose this subject because we think that people take drugs to forget their problems or to relax because they think that drugs aren't a problem to their healt. There are other people who take drugs in order to have new sensations. With this project we show you a consequences of drugs. 


There are three types of drugs :


-Nervous system stimulatns: The affects that these drugs have : to improve the mood and increase happiness, decrease appetite, you lose sleep and increase in your heart beat. You stay nervous all the time, the famous drugs of these types are: the coffe, tobacco, cocaine, anphetaminas, antidepressive. 


-Nervous system depressions : These types of drugs relax the nervous system. If you take big doses the drugs canpaeralize your brain and can cause death to the person. People take these drugs to sleeping, despression and for personal distress. The famous drugs of these types are : alcohol, barbiturates and drugs of opio. 


-Hallucinogens: These drugs produce hallucionations. These types of drugs affect only your brain , cause dilation of the pupils, cold in the arms and legs and stomach pain. These drugs can also produce frightening and traumatic experiences. 
The usually drug of these types are: cannabis, LSD and the natural hallucinogens are the fungi. 


Illegal and legal drugs


The illegal drugs can't be consumed, cultivate or sold people who don't obey the law, can go to jail or pay a fine depending on the quantity or drugs they have. Illegal drugs are: opiates, cannabis, cocaine or hallucinogens.


Legal drugs are drugs that the law doesn't ban and people you can take and buy thse drugs anywhere. legal drugs are alcohol, tobacco and  coffee. 


Conclutions 


We think that nowadays young people start talking drugs earlier and this is a problem because during you teenage years your body and brain become mature and drugs affect your body more.

Valoration

I think that in this oral presentation I was less nervous that in the previous presentation because I was more comfortable with the class, although I think that I read more than the other presentation.
Also this presentation was more difficult and vocabulary level increased, so I read a little.

In my opinion, I think the best thing we was the power-point because it wasn't boring because it had very pretty pictures of Hawaii. The other thing that I'm happy about is it lasted a long time, aproximatly eleven minutes.
I also think I need to improve the pronunciation but it's difficult because to improve you have to practice.
The topic was interesting because Hawaii is a very beautiful place and it has beautiful landscapes, I believe that we spoke about interesting things like the places to visit or that the serial Lost was shot in Hawai, etc...

Really, I think that if you do it with another person you feel more secure because the people don't look at you so much and the same person doesn't talk all the time. However the problem is that you can't pracitce a lot together.
In conclusion, I will try to improve more for the next presentation.

This country is made up of eighteen islands, it’s capital is Honolulu, in this city there is a very important beach the most important beach in these islands. It has got a tropical climate but there is also a lot of rain. Hawaii is one of the united states of America. You can find it in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

The official languages in hawaii:  hawaian and english.

Demography

In Hawaii there are 1.285.498 inhabitants (here you can see the inhabitants of the most important islands).

In Hawaii forty nine per cent of the people are men and fifty-one per cent of the people are women. In Hawaii we can find people from different countries like Alaska, Asia, Afro american people, hispano Latino people and from other countries.

Gastronomy

The most important and famous food is; Poke and Pa mea’ai.

-Poke; fish in mineral salt and it is made up of Kalua stile dug in a well and put on hot rocks and then they put the fish on the hot rock to cook it. Finally the fish is served with little onions, peppers, and soja sauce.

The other traditional food is Pa mea’ai; the main food can be meat or fish with rice and macarroni or salad.

Drinks: the most important cocktail are: Tiki, Blue Hawaii and Mai-Tai, all of the cocktails are made with rum.

Economy

The economy of hawaii is basically based on the tourism. Before the economy was based on the military activities. The money that hawaians use is the dollar.

Curiosities

(We have chosen some interesting things about Hawaii and now I are going to speak about them)

-Wiki-wiki; this is a word that the hawaians say to the buses because the buses are very fast, so the word wiki is another word for fast.

-The president Barak Obama was born in Hawaii.

-The famous TV series “Lost” was shot in Hawaii.

-The film 2012 was shot in Hawaii, because there are scenes with volcanoes.

-A lot of couples get married in Hawaii because this is a dream or a lot of women.  The couples both wear white clothes and the family wear the flower necklace. What you can visit in Hawaii.

-The national volcano park, where you can see the biggest volcanoes in the world , you can also see the volcanoes chenger.

-The Valley Waipi’o where you can climb and go horse riding. In volley waipi’o you can visit the waterfalls.

-At the Kahaluu beach you can go snorkeling with the animals: like tropical fish, dolphins, turtles and whales.

-You can also do helicopter tour and see the different places and things like mountans, volcanoes, beaches. You can walk in the forest too.

-The most typical activity in Hawai is the Luau, it’s a show where the dancers dance the hula.

Conclusions

We think that if we have the opportunity to travel we will choose this island, because while we were doing this project we learnt about different from here. We would also visit this country because of its culture because it is very interesting and new for us.

VALORATION

I think my oral presentation went quite well compared to the other presentations last year. I was very nervous and the people in my class had never seen me doing an oral presentation and maybe for this I was very embarassed.

In my opinion the power-point went very well because there were a lot of images and there weren't any words. I didn't read during the presentation but at the end I read a little, although I think that I didn't read very much and I was pontanious.

I also think that the topic was interesting for the class because I talked about the things I like and so my class mates can get to know me a little better.
The part that I have to practice more is the pronunciation because there are a lot of words that I pronunced badly even though I had practised the pronunciation at home.
Some words I practised were, for example, quit, couple, author, statue of Liberty...

The oral presentation was the most difficult part but I has practiced with power-point at home quite a lot. I also practised in front of my parents, my friends, my sister...
In conclusion, I hope to improve in the other presentations.

Hello, In my oral presentation I'm going to talk about my hobbies and the thing I like.

To begin, I'm going to talk about my favourite singer, he is Melendi. I listened to Melendi's music when I was little, because my parents also like Melendi. He is a spanish pop singer with flamenco, rumba and rock and he was born in Asturias. He has made a five CD's the first CD was published in two thousand and three, it is called "Sin noticias de Holanda" and the las CD was published in two thousand and nine. I like Melendi because his music is fun and the lyrics of his songs make me think a lot. Someday, I would like to go to one of his concert.

Now, I'm going to talk about my favourite film, this is "The notebook". This film is my favourite because I like the romantic films very much. The notebook is a film with many feelings and it speaks about my personal love story. It is a couple who are very much in love but they have to separate. In the end there are meet again.

My favourite hobby is dancying, I dance hip-hop and I started when I was eight years old. At the moment, I dance hip-hop in Castelló d'Empúries with a group of girls of all ages, because there aren't sufficient girls of my age.
Every year, we go to dance in a lot of villages. The best show is in Castelló d'Empúries because there are a lot of groups to dance who come to dance. I would like to dance in competitions.
When I was small, I used to play volley-ball but a few years I quit, because there weren't enought players and I left the team. Although it is still my favourite sport.

In my free time I like going out with my friends and my boyfriend to the cinema, I go in my village in a bar and I go to the disco. I also like to talk to my sister because I don't see a very often because she is studying in Barcelona.
I also, In my free time I love reading. I read all kinds of books and the best book for me is "A tres metros sobre el cielo" by the author it is Federico Moccia, I think that this author expresses his feelings very well and I really like the way he writes.

My hobby is also travelling and my dream is to travel around the world but it is very difficul because I don't have a lot of free time and it is very expensive.
I've always wanted to travel to New York. I would like to travel to New York because it is very different from here. What impresses me most about this country are the big buildings.
New York is the typical country of the films, and I also sould like to do this, because I could visit he places that are in the films. What I like most about New York is the Statue of Liberty because it is the most famous monument in the New York and worldwide and apart from being important it is also a symbol of Liberty. I hope to go in New York in the future.

Finally, I'm going to talk about the things I like because then people can get to know me a little better.
